In September of this year, Beate Köhne was a scholarship holder in a ‘studio on the Danube’, invited by the association of the same name. This series was created in the historic Schiffmeisterhaus in Ybbs an der Donau. Green and blue were the predominant colours.

Light and the colourfulness of the surroundings have always played a major role in Beate Köhne's work. She often works abroad for a while before returning to her studio in Berlin with fresh impressions.
